We continue today to be graciously overwhelmed by the amazing turn of events over the last 24 hours. The neurologist came in today at 2:00 P.M. He did an exam and is pleased with Byron's progress. Byron will continue physical therapy in the hospital until he is able to move around with stability and confidence. Not only is the physical therapy helping in the recovery, but there is continuing improvement as the blood is reabsorbed from the hemorrhage and the pressure is relieved.
The doctor expects Byron to be able to return home sometime this weekend. Once home he will still need a couple of weeks before trying to jump back into work. There are some theories forming as to what caused this incident, but further testing will be needed for a diagnosis. Those tests will be done after Byron's recovery is complete.
It is my profound belief that we have shared in a miracle worthy of the book of Acts. It may not be as vivid as Moses parting the Red Sea, but for each of us who know and love the Burns, this rescue is just as dramatic. A few hours ago we could feel the enemy bearing down on our hearts and minds and now we walk in sweet reality of deliverance. So pray for Byron's continued and complete healing and celebrate with honor and praise to God!
1 Peter 5:6-10 "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast."
