Living in the Contradiction

To all of Byron's amazing friends and family - as he and his family wait patiently at the hospital, I (ironically) am posting the first entry on his blog which has been in the works for a few weeks.

I, along with 15 others from the Montrose family, had the privilege of being with Byron and Brenda at the Willow Arts Conference in Chicago last week. On Friday morning as part of our closing session we listened to Nancy Beach, along with worship pastors Jay and Helena from Willow share about "living in the contradiction"...the place where our faith must meet real life face-to-face...the place where it gets personal between us and God. (Here's a link to a video excerpt of Jay and Helena's story - watch the second video). Little did we know that less than 48 hours later we would be entering a new chapter of "living in the contradiction" with the Burns family, as Byron awoke Sunday morning with symptoms of dizziness, was promptly treated in urgent care and transferred to the hospital where he was diagnosed with an aneurism. It's been a long night, and this morning the family would appreciate your prayers as they await meetings with doctors which will determine the course of treatment. Yesterday Dave talked about not wanting to "live in a world without faith."  Now is the time for us to pull together and exercise this kind of faith. Our staff will keep you posted via this blog.  In the meantime, please keep Byron in your prayers.

Byron & Brenda,

We were in the bay area this weekend and received the news Sunday afternoon.

We love you guys and of course the girls as well.

You have been in our thoughts, prayers and we will continue to ask for God's healing hand to be over you and guiding the doctors and those involved with your care.

In Christian Love,
Wayne & Letty Baldaro

We had a friend who had a similar issue and she is slowly but surely on the way back to normal. May God guide the doctors, giving the wisdom to bring Byron back to us soon.

Know that there are prayer warriors lifting you up, people you may not even know, because the lives you touched extend farther than you might think.

You are in our prayers; we love you so much!
