Spring Break, Maneaderos and Fish Tacos

As teens and young adults flocked to beaches and lakes for Spring Break '07, I had the privilege of taking 20 of our high school students and leaders on a work and witness trip in Maneaderos, Mexico. We joined up with a team of 20 parents to build a children's room for La Iglesia de Nazareno, a Nazarene church in the heart of Maneaderos. As the weekend passed, we realized this trip was about more than just building a room - it was about the awesome relationships that we formed with the pastor and the people in the church. On Saturday night a family in the church invited us all over to their house for dinner, where we ate the best fish tacos I've ever had in my entire life, followed by an "us" v. "them" soccer match. I even learned that one of our leaders was a former professional soccer player (you learn a lot about people on a trip like this)! I can never thank all of you enough for your support and prayers! We are definitely planning on returning to La Iglesia de Nazareno, and we would love for you to go with us!
