- Cyndi Roberts
Around 4 p.m. today, the neurosurgeon met with Byron and family in CCU. Byron's strength in his left arm has gradually improved today, which is a positive sign that bleeding may be subsiding. The doctors want Byron to get good rest, get the swelling down, and continue to stabilize. When they feel he is ready,
they will schedule surgery to remove the mass. Currently, there is no indication as to how soon this will be - however the general feeling is that they want to proceed as quickly as possible when they believe he is stable. This afternoon they are performing a vascular test, which will help gauge the current status of the bleeding. The doctors have indicated that they have no idea as to the origin/classification of the mass. They will not know this information until surgery is complete and test results are back. Until that time, please
continue to pray for strength, guidance and healing for Byron. The family is extremely grateful for your prayers. We do ask that you please be sensitive to the request on behalf of the family and the hospital to help Byron get stronger by
refraining from visits and calls.
Here's an excerpt from the lyrics of one of the songs that Byron had chosen a few weeks ago for yesterday's worship service:
"Blessed be Your Name"
by Matt Redman
Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name
